There is a 4 foot high wall that wraps around our back yard. It comes to about 6 inches away from our apartment wall. Nearly every day when our dog Lorenzo goes outside, he tries to squeeze his 65 pound body through that 6 inch gap. Last evening, his persistence with this was intriguing to us. Once he started barking, we knew he must have found something. I went out back to find that there was a white cat less than a foot away from his nose. This cat did not even seem afraid. She was ready to do battle with Lorenzo. I tried to pull him back but the more I pulled, the more he pushed. The cat scratched him three times on his nose and he still did not want to back down. I finally wrangled him into the apartment and he was so proud of himself. We left the blinds open so that he could see that the cat was not going to come into our yard. What were we thinking? That cat slowly crept through that gap into our yard and I thought that he was going to lunge through the glass door at her. She finally crept away and about an hour later, Lorenzo calmed down enough that he could go to sleep. This morning, he tried to get sympathy from me for the scratches on his nose, but; quite frankly, he was barking up the wrong tree. :)
Nice, I hate cats they do the same ting to my dog's stay just out of reach and torment them.I hope some day my dog get them. Blaa I've never been a cat person, but hey if my dog can't run wild in the neighborhood why should a cat be able to?
